Go through the MetaTrader 5 settings in the install guide again: one of the options is probably still off.
If it still fails, open the Experts tab at the bottom of MetaTrader 5; any error from the EA appears there. With no errors, close and reopen MetaTrader 5 and attach the EA again. When it works, the tab shows Terminal MT5 EA is running on http://127.0.0.1:5000.
It's unlikely, but another program may already be using port 5000, so the EA can't start when you drag it onto the chart. To free it, close MetaTrader 5 and open Command Prompt: press the Windows key and type cmd.
Paste this command and press Enter. It lists the process using port 5000, with its number (PID) in the last column:
netstat -ano | findstr :5000
Then end that process, replacing PID with the number you copied, and attach the EA again:
taskkill /F /PID PID
The pair can't be traded right now, for one of these reasons:
Hover over the symbol name in the panel to see which one applies.
Switching accounts resets the EA to its default settings, which usually turns algorithmic trading off. Check the MetaTrader 5 settings again and make sure the Algo Trading button is green.
In the Navigator, right-click the EA under your account and choose Remove from [symbol]. To reinstall it, follow the steps in the install guide again.
